Epical’s new board drives strategic growth; Teemu Salmi named Chair of the Board .

Epical, a Nordic data consulting company, has appointed a new board with Teemu Salmi serving as Chair. The new board supports the company’s next phase of growth as Epical continues to strengthen its position in the Nordic market. 

The board brings together experienced leaders with deep expertise in AI, data-driven innovation, financial strategy and business transformation. Its role is to support Epical’s strategic priorities, provide guidance as the company pursues growth and support Epical’s commitment to long-term value for customers and stakeholders.

The board consists of: 

• Jere Helenius, CTO of Bo Family Group

• Kadir Kumral, Investment professional at Mandatum Asset Management

• Ilkka Sammelvuo, CEO of Ropo

• Anssi Lehikoinen, CEO of KPY will continue as a member of the board

• Teemu Salmi, CEO of Enea AB, will serve as Chairman of the Board starting April 1, 2026. 

With over 30 years in senior and executive leadership roles across technology and telecommunications, Salmi brings deep expertise in transformation, business development, and strategy execution. Currently CEO of Enea and recognized as Finland’s CIO of the Year in 2020, Salmi believes the board’s combined experience will help Epical achieve its growth objectives and advance its strategic priorities.

After reaching profitability in 2025, and securing an investment from Mandatum Asset Management, Epical is entering its next chapter with a clear focus on growth.
